Your Board
Accepting and declining cards, what each entry shows, the difference between your management view and what other members see.
Your Board
Your board is the wall of cards other members have sent you and you have accepted. It holds both kinds: QSL Cards exchanged on confirmed contacts, and Courtesy Cards sent by hand.
Nothing reaches your board without your say-so. Every card arrives as a request and waits until you accept it.
There are two views of it.
Your management view is at Account, then My Board. It shows Pending Requests at the top and your accepted cards below, and it is the only place the accept and decline buttons appear.
Your public board is the Board tab on your profile, and it is what every other member sees. Press Member View on your management view to open it.
How To Accept Or Decline A Card
- Go to Account, then My Board.
- Read the card under Pending Requests. A QSL request carries the details of the contact it confirms, so you can check it against your own log.
- Press Add to Board to accept it, or the red button beside it to decline.
Declining is not permanent in the way it sounds. A member whose card you declined may reach you again with a later contact or a later card, and you will be asked again.
Accepting is the decision that counts. Once a card is on your board there is no control to take it off.
How To Answer An Update
A member who redesigns a Courtesy Card you already hold offers it to you. The request reads {callsign} has updated their Courtesy Card and carries two buttons.
- Press Update to put the new version in place of the old one.
- Press Keep Existing to leave your board as it is.
Either way the entry keeps the date you first accepted that member's card. An updated entry gains a Last Updated line beneath it. Neither answer is reported back to the sender.
What Each Entry Shows
Every entry names the member who sent it, shows their card, and carries a badge: a green QSL badge or an orange Courtesy badge.
A QSL entry shows the contact underneath: date and time in UTC, band, mode, frequency and the reports exchanged. It carries no note, because the comment on a confirmed contact is private between the two operators and lives on the contact record instead.
A Courtesy entry carries a note box holding whatever the sender wrote when they sent it, or (none) when they wrote nothing.
Added is the date you accepted the card. Last Updated appears only where an entry has been replaced by a newer version.
How The Board Is Paged
Both views show 24 cards to a page with a pager at the foot. The number in the badge beside the heading counts your whole board rather than the page you are reading, so a board of forty reads 40 on both views.
Pending Requests are never paged. They are a decision waiting on you, so all of them are on the first screen.
What To Watch For
Your board is a record rather than a mirror. A member who redesigns a QSL card you already hold does not change the card on your board. That card belongs to the contact it confirmed and stays exactly as it was exchanged.
A QSL card cannot be sent to you by hand. If somebody wants a card on your board without a contact behind it, they send a Courtesy Card. The QSL route is the confirmed match, described on How QSOs Are Matched.
Your public board shows accepted cards only. Nothing that is waiting on your answer is visible to anybody but you.
