QSLShack.com ("QSLShack", "we", "us", "our") is operated by Cassco Enterprises, Inc.. Throughout this document, "you" and "user" refer to anyone accessing or using the QSLShack platform. By creating an account or using any part of QSLShack, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
These Terms apply to all users including licensed amateur radio operators, organizations, advertisers, and visitors. Any new features added to the platform are also subject to these Terms.
Section 1: Use of Website
You may use QSLShack for lawful purposes consistent with the platform's intended function as a community hub for amateur radio operators. You agree not to use the platform in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
You must not transmit viruses, malware, or any code of a destructive nature. You must not attempt unauthorized access to any account, server, or network. A breach of any of these Terms will result in immediate termination of your access.
Section 2: Eligibility
QSLShack is open to licensed amateur radio operators, organizations active in the amateur radio community, advertisers targeting the ham radio audience, and individuals interested in the hobby who have not yet obtained a license.
You must provide accurate information at registration. Misrepresenting your callsign or license status is a violation of FCC regulations and is grounds for immediate permanent account termination. You represent that you are at least 13 years of age. Users under 18 should have parental consent before using the platform.
Section 3: Accounts & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at info@qslshack.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions, abuse rate limits, or manipulate platform metrics such as reputation scores and leaderboard rankings.
Section 4: QSL Card Exchange Rules
The QSL card exchange is the core mechanic of QSLShack. The following rules govern its use:
- QSO Cards may only be sent to commemorate actual amateur radio contacts (QSOs) between licensed operators.
- Courtesy Cards may be sent by verified organizations and advertisers to commemorate non-radio connections such as hamfest meetings or club memberships.
- Submitting false QSO contact data (date, frequency, mode, RST) is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
- Rate limiting is enforced to prevent notification spam. Attempting to circumvent rate limits is prohibited.
- Board owners have absolute control over their own boards. Confirmed cards may not be retroactively altered by the sender.
- QSL card images must be your own original design or images you have the right to use. Copyrighted images used without permission will be removed.
Section 5: Acceptable Use
You agree to use QSLShack in a manner consistent with the warmth and camaraderie of the amateur radio community. You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or sexually explicit
- Spam other users with unsolicited messages or card requests
- Use the platform to conduct commercial transactions outside of designated advertiser features
- Impersonate another operator, callsign holder, or public figure
- Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without authorization
Section 6: Content Ownership & License
You retain ownership of all content you post on QSLShack, including QSL card images, profile photos, and forum posts. By posting content, you grant QSLShack a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the platform for the purpose of operating the service.
This license terminates when you delete your content or account, except for content that has been shared with other users (such as QSL cards posted to boards), which may persist under those users' control.
Section 7: Prohibited Uses
In addition to other restrictions, you are prohibited from using QSLShack or its content to: (a) engage in any unlawful purpose; (b) violate any regulations, including FCC Part 97 rules; (c) infringe on intellectual property rights; (d) harass or discriminate against any individual or group; (e) submit false or misleading information; (f) upload malicious code; (g) collect personal information of other users without consent; (h) engage in any activity that interferes with the security or integrity of the platform.
Section 8: User Submissions & Feedback
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas to QSLShack, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation. We are under no obligation to maintain submitted feedback in confidence or to implement any suggestion.
You are solely responsible for content you post. QSLShack reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms or that we determine to be harmful to the community.
Section 9: Third-Party Links & Services
QSLShack may contain links to third-party websites (FCC ULS, HamQTH.com, QRZ.com, equipment retailers, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of third-party sites. Links do not constitute endorsement. You access third-party sites at your own risk.
Section 10: Disclaimer of Warranties
QSLShack is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any content on the platform, including FCC license data retrieved from third-party APIs.
Section 11: Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cassco Enterprises, Inc.'s liability arising out of or in connection with your use of QSLShack shall be limited to the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Section 12: Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cassco Enterprises, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of QSLShack, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Section 13: Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any conduct we determine to be harmful to the community or platform. Upon termination, your right to use the platform immediately ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

Section 14: Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Palm Beach County, Florida, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Section 15: Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via notice on the platform and/or email. Your continued use of QSLShack after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. You can review the current Terms at any time at this page.
